Manufacturing Day℠ is a celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers. Although Manufacturing Day officially occurs on the first Friday in October—this year is October 7, 2016—any day can be a Manufacturing Day.
Companies and community organizations should plan their events on the date that works best Manufacturing Day is an annual national event, executed at the local level by more than 2,600 manufacturers across North America that host students, teachers, parents, job seekers, and other local community members at open houses designed to showcase modern manufacturing technology and careers. More than 8,000 individuals from Northwest Indiana participated in activities last year. Help us meet our region’s Goal of reaching 10,000 people in 2016.
